Welcome Minna-san, to the probably last blog post in wonderful 2016. It's been quite an exciting year with some amazing and some less amazing anime. My favorites of the year were definitely Tales of Zestiria the X, ReLIFE and Erased and from the movies definitely Kimi no na Wa and Code Geas: Boukoku no Akito final movie. Naruto Shippuden and Fairy Tail 2014 unfortunately ended but there were some great announcements regarding the first one . And talking about announcements, there were some really exciting ones for 2017. 2k16 was in my opinion a not so good year for anime, but I am really optimistic about 2k17. Without further talk let's take a look at the anime I am really looking forward to in 2017. Enjoy!
AO NO EXORCIST: KYOTO FUJOUOU-HEN 👻💎
I can't believe he is really back. Our dear half-demon/exorcist Okumura Rin. It's been at least two or three years since I've seen the anime and to be honest I did forget some details. But that doesn't change the fact that I am really looking forward to seeing the second season of it. The anime is cool, interesting, it has amazing characters, an intriguing plot, solid story-line...It's perfect. And the best thing it is coming right in the beginning of 2017 starting to air on January 7th. I hope you'll also be watching because I definitely will. One more thing I have to mention, the cover is amazing. It's been a while since I've seen an incredible cover like this one. I love it. (trailer link)
TALES OF ZESTIRIA THE X 📖🌈✨
I can surely say that this anime was my favorite anime of the year. It was amazing and it has everything a perfect anime in my opinion has. Also, I love this kind of anime about magic, spirits, old legends etc. It is the same reason for witch I love the Fate series and Akatsuki no Yona. I was really surprised to see the second season of Tales of Zestiria the X coming up so soon, but I am extremely happy because of that. I just can't wait to see what will happen to Alisha, Sorey and the others. Moreover, it is really hard to find an anime that has a similar setting yet an unique and interesting story. This will be my "Happy New Year" anime because its release date is set for the 1st of January, 2017. Since I finished Fate/ Saty Night: UBW I've been in love with the fate series. I did not watch many other expect for Fate/ Zero and Fate/ Stay Night but the ones coming in 2017 will definitely be on my watch list. In Grand Order, a secret organisation named Chaldea issues the Grand Order to participate in the Holy Grail War. Their purpose in the war is to investigate, uncover and possibly destroy the cause that would apparently cause the extinction of humanity. Sounds interesting to me and I am certainly looking forward to seeing Saber and old Lancer again. As always, no spoilers but here is the trailer for you: (trailer link). Also coming in 2017, an alternate retelling of Unlimited Blade Works, Fate/Stay Night: Heaven's Feel. Not sure if I am going to watch it because I liked UBW just as it was, but we shall see...BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS 😸👶
And finally, the, by me, most anticipated anime of the year...BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS. You have no idea how happy I was when I read the official news. So, Naruto came to an end, but at the same time, a new legend was born. And it is no one else but Naruto's own son. I watched the movie: Boruto and it was amazing. I instantly fell in love with the whole father-son concept but I need to clear out something. This won't be another story about a boy whose dream is to become Hokage. No, this is a complete different story and it is told by Boruto. If you haven't watched the movie yet, you definitely should and here is my review to it: BORUTO: Naruto the Movie. I've become such a fan-girl since the news about Boruto came out, with all my wallpapers, cover pages etc. being nothing else but Boruto. I seriously can't wait for April to come. I even read that Masashi Kishimoto, the writer of the original Naruto manga and also now writer of Boruto, says that Boruto will be even better than the original Naruto. Not sure if that is true, but let's hope for the best. For those who haven't seen the short promo video, here is the link to it: (promo link).So, this is it for today. There are definitely many more great anime coming up and many are already hyped. As you all might now a third season of Code Geass has been announced but the exact release date is yet to be confirmed. Also many are excited about Attack on Titan season 2, but I am not sure if I'll be watching it. Not a huge fan. Sword Art Online is getting another movie: Ordinal Scale and I'll probably watch that one. As for the whole winter season, there are a couple of anime I might watch but I am not that hyped about it.
